Creating drops

How drop dates work

How do drop dates work?

A regular drop has two windows, and they run in order.

  1. When customers can order

From when, until when. Ordering locks itself at the close time — you don't have to be there.

Window 1 — when customers can order.
Window 1 — when customers can order.
  2. When they collect

Starts at or after ordering closes, so you have time to make everything.

Window 2 — when they collect. Starts after ordering closes.
Window 2 — when they collect. Starts after ordering closes.
  3. How it reads once it's set

Both windows, in your store's timezone.

Both windows, as they read once the drop exists.

DropQ enforces the relationship: ordering must close before or exactly when pickup starts, each window needs both a start and an end, and an end must come after its start.

Times are shown in your store's timezone, which you can set in Store settings. Live selling drops have no windows — they're open while you keep them open.
